Job summary

Gen II Fund Services, LLC is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join the Finance Department in New York. You will help build and maintain a data platform on Snowflake and dbt, support end-to-end pipelines into Power BI, and ensure security and compliance within the data ecosystem.

The role offers hybrid work (three days in the office, two remote) and a compensation package including a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related discipline.
• 1+ years’ experience in data-related field, cloud data warehouses.
• Strong SQL and Python required.
• Snowflake and DBT exposure preferred.
• Power BI knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of data architecture and modelling.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong commercial understanding of the value of data and potential use cases it underpins.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining a data platform on Snowflake and dbt.
• Support end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to end consumers primarily in Power BI.
• Follow security and compliance standards and maintain data platform integrity.
• Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned by the Finance Team.
