Galent is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our Washington, DC onsite team. The role requires 1-3 years of hands-on data engineering, strong Python/SQL/Spark skills, and experience with ETL/ELT, data modeling, CDC, streaming, governance, and performance optimization. Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment experience are important.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.
• Advanced Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark with some exposure to Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, CDC, streaming, governance, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
• Experience contributing to solution design and architectural decisions.
• Experience leading technical implementation activities and/or mentoring engineers.

Must-Haves

• 1-3 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
• Advanced Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark with some exposure to Databricks.

Nice-to-Haves
