Job summary

Galent seeks a Senior Data Engineer for our Washington, DC onsite team. This full-time role requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and hands-on data engineering expertise.

Responsibilities include designing scalable data pipelines, optimizing ETL/ELT processes, and mentoring engineers while collaborating on architectural decisions to drive enterprise AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
• Advanced Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark with some exposure to Databricks
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, CDC, streaming, governance, and performance optimization
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment strategies
• Experience contributing to solution design and architectural decisions
• Experience leading technical implementation activities and/or mentoring engineers
• At least one Associate‑level or higher AWS, Azure, or GCP certification

Must-Haves

• 4–7 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
