Job summary

IES Electrical is seeking a full-time Project Engineer-Entry Level in Pecos, Texas. You will support the planning and execution of data center projects under the guidance of senior engineers, learning about electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.

Your responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, assisting in quality control, and maintaining organized project files. Ideal candidates have a basic understanding of engineering principles and strong teamwork skills, with potential electrical experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of construction or engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with guidance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists project managers with day-to-day project coordination.
• Supports tracking of schedules, budgets, and material deliveries.
• Reviews drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Participates in site walks, inspections, and progress meetings.

Skills

Basic understanding of construction or engineering principles

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Proficient knowledge of Outlook and MS Office

Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
