Job summary

Technology Ventures in McLean, VA is seeking a risk management professional with 1+ years hands-on experience to support platform risk programs. You will review programs loaded into the platforms, apply risk frameworks, and contribute to solution design and regulatory alignment.

Job description

Experience with Jira, as well as proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Studio, is required.

Apply deep knowledge of risk management frameworks, processes, and regulatory expectations to inform solution design and delivery decisions.

Demonstrate strong fluency in risk management technologies, including GRC platforms (e.g., ServiceNow IRM or comparable solutions), workflow‑based applications, and integrated reporting architectures.

Act as thought partners to client product and risk leadership by proactively recommending approaches to enable, enhance, or rationalize risk capabilities across the Enterprise Risk technology footprint.

Contribute to the definition of target‑state product visions and roadmaps, helping to shape how risk capabilities are delivered across platforms rather than focusing solely on individual projects or features.

Identify opportunities to improve consistency, scalability, reusability, and automation of risk capabilities across homegrown and vendor solutions, aligning with enterprise architecture and delivery standards.

Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies, including but not limited to sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

Elicit, analyze, document, and maintain business and functional requirements (e.g., epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) in collaboration with business Subject Matter Advisors (SMAs), product managers, and external suppliers, in accordance with standards.

Develop and maintain business process documentation, including current‑ and target‑state process flows, functional specifications, wireframes, and data models, as applicable.

Support impact assessments across upstream and downstream systems, including third‑party integrations and internally developed applications.

Define, coordinate, and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, including test plan and test case development, defect triage, resolution tracking, and validation of fixes.

Support data analysis activities, including identification of critical data elements, data mapping, lineage, and data flows, based on requirements and defined criteria.

Develop user training materials and user guides and support delivery of training sessions, as required.
