Job summary

Citi in Mexico is seeking a Credit Analyst 1 in a hybrid role to support the Credit Risk team. You will review financial data, produce concise analyses, and assist in loan structuring under GAAP guidelines.

This entry-level role requires 0–2 years in a financial institution, a Bachelor's degree, and a basic understanding of financial statements and credit analysis. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in a financial institution with focus on credit analysis and spreading software.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial regulations, financial products, and credit analysis.
• Ability to analyze business and personal financial statements with respect to GAAP and Citibank policies.

Responsibilities

• Spread business and personal financial statements and tax returns in GAAP and Citibank policies.
• Map financial data for simple to complex credits into the bank's analysis tool.
• Provide comments to underwriter and assist with loan structure and covenants.
• Coordinate with Credit Officers, Analysts, and Relationship Managers.
• Perform preliminary analysis of credits including cash flow and DSCR calculations.
• Complete quality assurance reviews of application packages and analyses.
