Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Junior Credit Analyst to support the evaluation of commercial borrowers. You will organize and spread financial statements, analyze credit data, prepare projections, and assist with loan underwriting under senior staff guidance.

You will also assist with portfolio monitoring, annual reviews, servicing requests, and data analysis to identify credit risk and maintain accurate credit documentation. Strong analytical and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration.
• Minimum of three years of Commercial Credit/Banking and/or related experience.
• Working knowledge of general banking and lending concepts and principals and strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist senior staff with credit analyses and loan underwriting.
• Spread financial statements and prepare cash-flow analyses.
• Monitor loan portfolio and assist with annual reviews and servicing requests.
• Analyze financial statements for trends and credit conditions.
• Prepare summaries and present facts concerning creditworthiness.
• Maintain proper documentation in credit files and coordinate with lenders.
• Investigate credit information from reports and bureaus; accompany lenders on calls as needed.
• Support underwriting and Relationship Managers with credit analysis for loan requests.
