Job summary

L&G Asset Management America is seeking a junior attorney to support its U.S. investment management platform.

The role offers broad exposure to legal and regulatory matters across public and private markets, partnering with Associate General Counsels to ensure efficient execution and consistent documentation. The position provides meaningful responsibility, hands-on experience, and growth within a collaborative legal team.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• 2–3 years of asset management or financial services experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and maintaining investment management agreements, sub-advisory agreements, side letters, and related documents.
• Prepare template agreements, form documentation, and internal guidance materials.
• Support launch and ongoing maintenance of investment products, including funds and accounts.
• Coordinate with business units on new initiatives, product development, and regulatory considerations.
• Collaborate with the US Client Onboarding team on client requirements and regulatory issues.
• Attend meetings and prepare minutes for Board and Committee sessions.
• Conduct legal/regulatory research related to asset management and securities.
• Review RFPs, due diligence requests, and client disclosures.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on potential impacts.
