Job summary

Ware Malcomb is seeking a Junior Cost Estimator to support NA construction estimating efforts. You will work with internal teams and external partners to evaluate pricing, analyze scope, and ensure accurate cost information across project phases.

You will collaborate with senior estimators on a range of commercial projects, using BIM for quantity take-off and leveraging estimating software to prepare bid analyses. This long-term, full-time role offers growth within a dynamic design firm.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 2+ years as Junior Estimator or Project Engineer for commercial construction.
• Experience with large commercial and industrial projects.
• Proficient in reading construction documents and estimating processes.
• Familiarity with BIM for quantity take-off.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate bid process.
• Quantity take-off and data input into estimating software.
• Change Order review and bid tabulation/bid leveling.
• Evaluate subcontractor input for scope/cost inclusion and coordinate with team.
• Verify pricing reflects current data and recent bids or budgets.
• Prepare variance analyses to explain project variances to stakeholders.
• Actively participate in estimate and proposal review meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.
