Job summary

H. J. High Construction in central Florida is seeking a Junior Cost Estimator to support multiple projects across the region.

You will perform quantity surveys, price new construction during preconstruction, estimate change requests, and prepare detailed estimates to meet project schedules.

A BS in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred; 2 years estimating experience; experience with OST, Timberline, ProEst or Cost OS; flexible work-from-home options are available.

Qualifications

• 2 years of construction cost estimating experience.
• BS in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of Construction Systems.
• K-12 Education experience is a plus.
• Estimating experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Professional conduct in a business environment is essential which reflects positively upon H. J. High Construction.
• Flexible work from home options available.

Overall Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Education:

2 years of construction cost estimating experience.

Computer Estimating and quantity takeoff using OST, and estimating software such as Timberline, ProEst, or Cost OS & Microsoft office skills

Estimating experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
