Job summary

Hatch in Tampa, FL is seeking a Junior Control and Automation Engineer to support instrumentation and control systems on maintenance, expansion, and new construction projects. On-site role, you will work with multidisciplinary teams to apply ISA concepts and develop P&ID diagrams, motor schematics, and instrument data sheets.

The position requires a BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering with interest in controls, a 3.0 GPA, and strong communication and safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Chemical Engineering with interest in Controls or Computer Science.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Commitment to engineering excellence and safety.
• Previous Co-op or Internship experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide instrumentation and control system design support on maintenance, expansion, and new construction projects.
• Participate in site evaluations and data collection.
• Assist in P&ID development and related instrument lists.
• Assist in equipment specifications and instrument data sheets.
• Update motor schematics, loop drawings, and instrument location drawings.
• Support PLC, DCS and HMI programming and functional descriptions.
• Provide on-site construction, commissioning, and start-up support.
