Job summary

Amentum in Springfield, VA is looking for a Jr. Construction Project Manager to oversee renovation and infrastructure upgrades, applying basic engineering and construction principles. The role requires US citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Essential duties include scheduling, budget control, site inspections, and coordination with subs to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ work-related experience in secure facility construction or renovation.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• PMP certification required or to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction project execution of varying complexity levels.
• Ensure subcontractor performance meets contract, safety and security requirements.
• Develop and update project timelines using MS Project.
• Control budgets and schedules across projects.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
• Review cost reports and manage procurement from RFIs to changes.
• Prepare reports for project management and submittals.
• Ensure closeout documentation is complete and CMMS records updated.
