Job summary

Vantage Point Solutions in Mitchell, SD is seeking an entry-level Construction Design Technician to assist the design team in creating accurate construction design documents, under the guidance of the Team Lead. You will draft drawings, apply redlines, and ensure quality checks while gaining exposure to the OSP design process.

Qualifications

• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with GIS tools preferred.
• Ability to interpret constructive criticism and apply red line corrections accurately.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Draft and update construction design drawings under direction of the Construction Design Team Lead.
• Apply redlines and corrections from OSP field staff, Construction Design Supervisors and/or Construction Design Team Leads.
• Assist with basic quality checks to ensure accuracy and standards are met.
• Upload and maintain project files in all required platforms and systems.
• Support project documentation and utilize trackers as assigned.
• Communicate with team members for clarifications on design updates.
• Participate in training and develop knowledge of OSP design processes and tools.
