Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a Configuration Analyst to coordinate engineering change control operations and analyze processes. The role requires maintaining and following up on engineering change documents with program managers, engineering groups, and customer personnel.

Responsibilities include handling change requests, tracking status, and ensuring CM practices and documentation are up to date. A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with 2+ years in configuration/documentation.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in configuration/documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups.
• Discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Records, classifies and analyzes engineering or software change requests for completeness and accuracy; request additional information as needed and obtain approvals.
• Responds to inquiries from engineering personnel regarding preparation of change requests and related documents.
• Maintains graphs and summaries showing status of changes; follows up to ensure release dates align with schedule.
• Analyzes final change packages for compatibility with requests.
• Reviews change drawings or software documentation to ensure CM practices are followed.
• Ensures customer documentation requirements are documented in the CM-Notebook.
• Participates in formal reviews (PDRs, CDRs, audits).
• Maintains quality to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
