Job summary

LS Technologies is seeking a recent Computer Scientist graduate to support FAA AMMS testing on Apple devices (iOS/macOS). You will assist with test case development, script execution, and collaboration with the AMMS team on FAA testing processes.

The role is onsite in Egg Harbor, New Jersey, with some remote flexibility. You will participate in hands-on testing and stakeholder reporting in a government-contracting setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2+ years in software test.
  • Proficiency in test case development, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills for stakeholder reporting and test documentation.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with AMMS applications on Apple mobile devices, including iPad, iPhone, Mac mini, and other platforms running iOS and/or macOS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience testing applications in the iOS operating environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in the macOS environment to help develop, debug, and execute test scripts for iOS applications.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with other AMMS team members during test development and execution. General knowledge of FAA testing processes.

Job Description

LS Technologies is seeking a recent Computer Scientist graduate with experience in the FAA Automated Maintenance Management System (AMMS). The candidate must possess a strong Computer Scientist foundation, along with demonstrated experience supporting FAA AMMS applications in Apple mobile and macOS environments. The selected candidate will assist with application testing, script execution, and collaboration with the AMMS team in support of FAA testing processes.

Salary Range based on Relevant Years of Experience:

$45,000-$55,000

Job Duties & Responsibilities -

Essential Job Functions may include (but are not limited to) the following: The following duties are considered essential to the role.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with AMMS applications on Apple mobile devices, including iPad, iPhone, Mac mini, and other platforms running iOS and/or macOS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience testing applications in the iOS operating environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in the macOS environment to help develop, debug, and execute test scripts for iOS applications.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with other AMMS team members during test development and execution. General knowledge of FAA testing processes.
Preferred Background:
  • Recent Computer Scientist graduate.
  • FAA AMMS experience strongly preferred.

Experience supporting application testing in Apple-based environments.

Required Qualifications

A successful candidate will have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in software and systems testing, preferably in aviation or transportation sectors.
  • Proficiency in test case development, execution, and defect tracking tools.

Strong analytical and communication skills for stakeholder reporting and test documentation.

Work Requirements and Additional Information

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
    • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
    • Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
    • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
    • Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
  • Primarily computer-based work; meetings or collaboration may be required.

Compensation (Pay Bands)

Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C.
