Qualifications

  • 2-4 years' experience at a financial institution, bank, online lender, or fintech.
  • Familiarity with ECOA, Fair Lending, TILA, FCRA, FDCPA regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support state examinations, annual reports, and license renewals.

What you will do

We are looking for a Jr. Compliance Analyst with 2–4 years of experience to join our dynamic and energetic team. In this role, you will directly impact and engage with all areas of the business. We’re seeking a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values being part of a collaborative, hands-on team. You will have the opportunity to contribute smart and strategic input as we develop and launch new products and services.

As a member of the compliance team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including the operations team—to ensure the company remains aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

You will be responsible for supporting the company’s regulatory and internal compliance programs by conducting reviews, maintaining records, assisting with examinations, responding to inquiries, and identifying opportunities to streamline compliance operations.

Kashable seeks to hire a Jr. Compliance Analyst who will:

  • Conduct assigned compliance monitoring reviews and recommend updates based on findings and observations noted.
  • Support the compliance team with state examinations, annual reports and license renewals.
  • Identifies process deficiencies, by testing performance of controls against company procedures and/or external regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the Corrective Action Log, reviewing and updating entries as needed.
  • Monitor SCRA requests and draft responses to consumers.
  • Respond to consumer complaints, direct disputes and/or subpoenas.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing compliance processes.
  • Review marketing for adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Respond to credit bureau disputes.

Who You Are

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree;
  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working for a financial institution, bank, online lender, or fintech involved in consumer lending;
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulations such as ECOA, Fair Lending, TILA, FCRA, FDCPA, and other industry regulations is a plus;
  • Must have excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, analytical, time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects;
  • Proficient in Excel and Word;
  • Must be professional and personable;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently but also as a team player;
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines; and

This position will be based in our New York city office. The estimated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000. The actual base salary will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skill level.
