West Bend Insurance Company seeks an Associate Underwriter to join West Bend Express. You will evaluate small market submissions, develop underwriting judgment, and foster agency relationships in an in-office role located in West Bend or Madison, WI.

Structured onboarding and hands-on experience will build fundamentals in underwriting, systems, and workflows, with progression toward independent underwriting opportunities within Commercial Enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required.
• Strong analytical and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams; build agency relationships.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite small market Commercial Enterprise new business.
• Evaluate exposure, coverage needs, pricing, insurability.
• Gather and analyze underwriting information for sound decisions.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly with agency partners.
• Support profitability, quality and service goals through timely decisions.
