Job summary

HIKINEX is seeking a Junior Commercial Construction Estimator / Assistant Project Manager in Union County, New Jersey. This development seat supports the estimating group on bid preparation and project administration with a defined path toward independent estimating.

You will participate in takeoffs, prepare cost estimates for fencing and access control scopes, manage vendor pricing, and assist with submittals and change orders while gaining hands-on project exposure.

Qualifications

• One to three years of construction estimating, project coordination, purchasing, drafting, engineering or field experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Exposure to Bluebeam, PlanSwift or comparable takeoff software a plus.
• Background in fencing, site work, landscaping, concrete, ornamental metals, structural steel, electrical or access control preferred but not required.
• Ability to work full time in the Union County office, 8:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday.
• Valid driver's license.

Our client is an established commercial fence contractor with roughly twenty years in the market, serving commercial, industrial, institutional and government clients throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region. The firm is adding a Junior Commercial Construction Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to support its estimating group on bid preparation and project administration. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
