Job summary

Tate Americas in Red Lion, PA is hiring a Junior CNC Programmer to translate engineering designs into machine instructions and support machining operations on-site. You will help develop and optimize CNC programs, set up tooling, and assist with first-piece inspections to ensure quality.

The role partners with engineering and production teams, offering opportunities for growth in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and exposure to various CAM tools.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of experience in CNC machining, programming, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code/M-code).
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• CNC Programming & Setup Support: assist in creating and modifying CNC programs.
• Support setup of CNC machines, tooling selection, offsets, and basic configuration.
• Interpret drawings/CAD models to support machining processes.
• Run test programs and support validation for accuracy and quality.
• Adjust programs and machine settings to improve performance and reduce errors.
• Production Support & Troubleshooting: assist machinists and operators daily.
• Monitor processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and cycle time.
• Help troubleshoot program errors and machine issues.
• Support first-piece inspections and quality standards.
