Job summary

Visionist, Inc. in Laurel, MD, is seeking a Junior Cloud Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance. You will join a mission-focused team building and maintaining a scalable cloud platform using Kotlin, React, and Java in a full stack environment.

Telework up to 8 hours/week is available, with a strong benefits package and opportunities for growth. Ideal candidates hold a technical Bachelor's degree, have 3 years of software development (1 year with a Master's), and are willing to obtain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Additional 2 years experience may substitute degree).
• 3 years of experience in software development (1 year with a Master's degree).
• Willingness to obtain one of the listed certifications (Visionist pays for exam and study time).
• Experience with Kotlin, Java, and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (Mongo, SQL).
• Experience with React and Redux.
• Experience with Version Control (Git, SVN).

Responsibilities

• Leverage Kotlin and React to develop a robust web application.
• Support a critical mission system with hundreds of active users.
• Work in a full stack environment.
• Support the rapid development and deployment of patches and updates to an existing system in a dynamic role.
