Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our U.S. team in Phoenix, AZ. You will work with experienced engineers on projects across mining, industrial, energy, renewable power, and chemical sectors.

The role offers early-career engineers a path to technical growth in civil infrastructure and structural design, from concept through construction support, with opportunities for site visits and client collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus or Structural Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training designation or eligibility for registration in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in civil and/or structural engineering.
• Experience in industrial, mining, infrastructure, energy, or related sectors is an asset.
• Familiarity with structural design codes and engineering standards applicable in North America.
• Experience with AutoCAD / Revit; Structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Support the civil and structural design of industrial and infrastructure projects from preliminary studies through detailed engineering.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design memoranda, and construction documentation.
• Assist with the design of civil infrastructure systems including site development, drainage, utility layouts, and access infrastructure.
• Assist in structural design of concrete foundations, steel and reinforced concrete structures, equipment support structures, pipe racks, platforms, and industrial systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and prepare quantity take-offs, technical specifications, material requisitions, and construction packages.
• Review and coordinate deliverables and participate in project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and site activities.
