Job summary

Wade Trim seeks an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Industrial Commercial Energy Team in Flint, MI. A bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering and 0–3 years of related experience are required; knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and Revit is preferred.

Strong writing, organizational and communication skills are essential. The role includes technical planning, design, permitting and construction support for water utility projects, plus design reports and cost

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 0 to 3 years of related experience.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit experience preferred.
• EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on water utility projects (collection systems, pump stations, wastewater treatment, reclaimed water, water treatment and distribution).
• Prepare engineering calculations and analyses of alternatives.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and Revit.
• Review plans and specifications; assist with permit submittals.
• Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
• Assist with scope, budget, and schedule; monitor task progress.
• Document design changes and communications; conduct on-site inspections as needed.
• Prepare project status and other reports; assist in preparing proposals; assist Project Managers.
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings and maintain client relations.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
