MacKay & Somps seeks a Junior Civil Engineer for our Pleasanton, CA office. A B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university is required. California EIT is highly desirable. 0–3 years in land development or public infrastructure preferred, with strong CAD and modeling inclination.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited university.
• EIT certification in California is highly desirable.
• 0–3 years of civil engineering experience in land development or public infrastructure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans, calculations, and technical reports.
• Design grading, drainage, water, and sewer systems.
• Stormwater management and modeling.
• Support entitlement and permitting processes.
• Draft and produce plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with clients, agencies, and consultants.

Education

B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited)

EIT certification in California (preferred)
