Job summary

Knight Piésold in Denver, CO is seeking a civil engineer with 0–4 years of experience to assist senior engineers on earthwork and water resources projects, including Civil 3D drafting, analyses, and reports. You will participate in field assignments in the US and abroad and help with permitting, reclamation, and closure activities.

The role requires a BS in civil engineering, proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 0-4 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of civil and geotechnical fundamentals, drafting, and design practices.
• Ability to read construction plans/drawings and check detail quality.
• Strong written and spoken English; Spanish desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D; GEO‑Studio/GINT are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineer with earthwork and water resources design tasks.
• Produce civil/geotechnical/hydraulic analyses and design reports.
• Prepare proposals, bid documents, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field assignments in the US and abroad and assist with QA/QC.
• Support permitting, reclamation, and closure activities.
• Create civil layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D and update project records.
