Jacobs in Arlington, VA is seeking a driven Civil Engineering Graduate to support our federal team in a hybrid capacity. You’ll contribute to site civil layout, grading, and utility design, working on Federal Civilian and DoD projects.

Join a collaborative design group with mentorship, develop site plans, perform watershed analyses, and prepare calculations. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential; EIT and internship are ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D and Microsoft Office.
• United States Citizenship is required for this role.
• Live within a commutable distance with ability to work in-person at our Arlington, VA office.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred.
• At least one relevant internship with government agency, municipality, corporate engineering, or consulting firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop site plans, utility plans, and grading plans to meet Federal design standards.
• Perform watershed analyses and design stormwater management systems.
• Prepare engineering assessments, calculations, and basis of design reports.
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians across multidisciplinary teams.
• Occasional travel to project and client sites for observations and meetings may be required.
