Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company in Omaha seeks a Civil Designer to join the Civil team. You will perform engineering models, analysis and designs, and supporting calculations while coordinating drafting for clients.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and MS Office is expected. Teamwork, communication, and adaptability to field tasks or travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• E.I.T or desire to obtain P.E. in the future preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
• Willingness to perform field inspection tasks and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.
• Draw design details under direction of others.
• Compute quantities and relate to pay items.
• Organize calculations for design files per project standards.
• Coordinate drafting of elements for projects.
• Perform field or site visits as needed.
• Develop knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of CADD and MS Office software.
