Benesch, in Johnstown, Colorado, seeks a Civil Designer to assist on transportation projects, performing models, analysis, and drafting while coordinating project elements with team members.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. A BS in Civil Engineering is required; E.I.T is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and MS Office is expected. Some field inspections and travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products.
• Willingness to perform field inspections and travel to project sites.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.
• Draw design details under direction of others.
• Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.
• Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.
• Coordinate drafting of an element.
• Perform field or site visits as needed.
• Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.
