Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 0–2 years of civil engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• EI on the path to PE preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply McAdams' CAD and design standards for plan production.
• Set up sheet packages for construction drawing sets with accurate redlines.
• Compile detailed plan sheets including notes and specifications.
• Collaborate on conceptual designs and site layouts ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist in development of utility layouts and grading plans.
• Create 3D surface models and perform earthwork volume analysis.
• Use Civil 3D to design alignments, profiles, and pipe networks.
• Support storm drainage and erosion control design efforts.
• Coordinate with internal project teams for integrated delivery.
• Support design through construction administration and team discussions.
