Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our growing southeast engineering team with opportunities in Raleigh or Charlotte, NC. You will contribute to civil design projects under supervision, using Civil 3D and AutoCAD and collaborating with engineers and project leaders.

Entry-level candidates with a BS in Civil Engineering, 0-3 years of experience, and EIT are encouraged to apply. Basic CAD skills required; Civil 3D proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 0–3 years of experience.
• EIT certificate preferred.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Civil 3D proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce civil engineering designs and construction plans using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Develop site grading, storm drainage, and related exhibits per project standards.
• Collaborate with engineers/project leaders to develop engineering designs and adhere to schedules.
• Follow internal and client procedures, ensuring quality and accuracy in documents.
• Assist with site visits and coordination with survey teams, SUE, and geotech.
