Job summary

RQM+, a MedTech-focused CRO, is seeking a Chemist I for its Mansfield, MA laboratory. The role involves performing chemical analyses using a range of analytical techniques to generate qualitative and quantitative data while collaborating with chemists and technicians to support customer projects.

Responsibilities include conducting analyses in organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry, handling samples per SOPs, developing and optimizing chemical processes, and assisting with data

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of compliance to a quality system (e.g., ISO 9001 and ISO 17025) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical analysis and experiments in various fields, including organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry.
• Support and handle samples for testing, ensuring adherence to SOPs and experimental protocols.
• Assist in the development, testing and optimization of chemical processes and formulations.
• Support senior chemists and other team members with project-based work.
• Support the interpretation of experimental results and provide data driven conclusions.
• Document experimental procedures, results and data.
• Assist with the maintenance of laboratory instruments and other analytical tools ensuring calibration and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Continuously review and stay up to date with the latest scientific literature, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
• Any other duties and tasks as directed by the supervisor.
