Job summary

Silver Sevens Hotel is seeking a Casino Host to grow gaming revenues by developing our customer base and marketing our gaming product to valued players and potential new customers.

You will maintain relationships, greet guests at events, analyze play to increase visitation, sign up new players, and collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Strong communication in English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or gaming-related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in a host or marketing role at a similar local property.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close ties with targeted guests through personal contact by phone, email, and in person.
• Greets guests in casino and participates in casino events and promotions.
• Anticipates guests’ needs and quickly responds to casino employees with customer issues.
• Effectively uses HostViz, telemarketing, mail, email and other marketing techniques to increase visitation patterns among target customers.
• Uses sound judgment and comps in accordance with established comping procedures.
• Handles all guests in situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Analyze and evaluate slots and table games play to increase guests’ casino play.
• Uses established casino systems and programs to sign up new players on the casino floor.
• Understands the competitive environment and can promote and explain the benefit features of the A-Play club.
• Understands how casinos make money and appreciates the impact of their own work on profits.
• Maintains an open line of communication with Supervisors and Managers concerning all Guest Service related issues.
• Cultivate good relations with other departments and employees to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or gaming-related field strongly preferred. Minimum one year experience in a host or marketing role in a similar local’s property.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, Alcohol Awareness Card and Clark County Health Card required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English. The ability to speak Spanish or other languages is strongly preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Microsoft Office skills required. Knowledge of Opera and Patron systems strongly preferred.
