Job summary

Moffatt & Nichol is seeking two CAD Technicians – Entry to Junior level for our Houston office. This full-time role in Katy, TX requires an associate degree or drafting certificate and 1–2 years of drafting experience. You will support engineers and designers by producing detailed CAD drawings and packages.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or drafting certificate required.
• 1–2 years of drafting experience is required.
• Experience with structural project design is preferred.
• Understanding and application of CAD standards.
• Good numeracy, geometry and computer skills.
• Background check and E-Verify requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Interpret sketches, mark-ups and written/verbal instructions and create drawings that adhere to CAD standards and project requirements.
• Create detailed drawings of structures and installations under the direction of engineers, designers and senior CAD technicians.
• Assist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages.
