Moffatt & Nichol in Katy, TX is seeking an entry-level CAD Technician to support engineers and designers on waterfront infrastructure projects. You will interpret sketches, create workable drawings, and assist with engineering drawing packages under supervision.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or drafting certificate is required.
1–2 years of drafting experience is required.
Experience with structural project design is preferred.
Understanding and application of CAD standards is required.
Good numeracy and geometry skills are required.

Responsibilities

Interpret sketches, mark-ups and instructions and create drawings that meet CAD standards and project requirements.
Create detailed drawings of structures and installations under supervision.
Assist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages.
