Job summary

Dometic is seeking a Jr. Buyer to join the Stuart/Port St Lucie team. You will assist in procurement, supplier selection, and inventory management to meet customer orders and inventory targets.

Strong data management and KPI tracking will be part of your responsibilities. The role requires experience in sourcing/purchasing within manufacturing, plus familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office. You’ll collaborate across teams to optimize costs, lead times, and supplier performance as the company

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in business, supply chain management, engineering, project management, or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in related field in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Purchasing or Strategic Sourcing in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of supply-chain management.
• General knowledge of Intuitive ERP/MRP system or a similar system, Intuitive preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office 365 Applications, Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Reasonable math skills and able to form basic formulas.
• Knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area using the principles of 5S.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate prices and terms regarding cost, delivery, and lead times.
• Support teams to develop new products from definition to first production.
• Ensure timely receipt of products or services.
• Monitor stock levels and manage consigned inventory.
• Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Identify new suppliers via catalogs and industry publications.
• Conduct financial analyses as directed.
• Maintain bills of material in ERP for material drives.
• Control cost of goods sold by negotiating prices and alternate vendors.
• Identify ways to expand ERP usage for productivity and data management.
• Manage accuracy of supplier work orders and data for KPI standards.
• Audit inventory discrepancies and material issues.
• Lead continuous improvement projects.
• Identify and prevent nonconformances and ensure code of conduct compliance.
• Complete other duties as required.
