Dometic is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Category Manager-Indirect to lead regional and global sourcing across indirect spend categories from transportation to facilities and services. You will build category roadmaps, manage supplier relationships, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver cost reductions and business value.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, experience in manufacturing environments, and the ability to influence senior leaders.

We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Strategic Sourcing Category Manager-Indirect within our Supply Chain capability. This position reports to Director of Procurement and Sourcing and will work in Elkhart-Industrial Parkway location.

About the position

As a Strategic Sourcing Category Manager-Indirect in the Supply Chain team, you will be involved in leading the development and execution of sourcing strategies across a broad portfolio of indirect spend categories, including transportation, logistics, warehousing, facilities, real estate, MRO, capital expenditures, professional services, IT, and other indirect materials and services.

Your main responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Develop and execute regional and global sourcing strategies across multiple indirect spend categories including transportation, logistics, warehousing, real estate, facilities, MRO, professional services, capital equipment, utilities, and corporate services.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives from opportunity assessment through implementation and supplier performance management.
• Build multi-year category roadmaps aligned with business objectives, growth plans, cost reduction targets, and operational requirements.
• Continuously evaluate market trends, cost drivers, industry developments, and supply risks to proactively identify opportunities

Transportation & Logistics

• Lead sourcing activities for domestic and international transportation, parcel, LTL, FTL, ocean, air freight, 3PL providers, warehousing, and logistics services.
• Develop transportation optimization strategies focused on service, cost, capacity, and risk management.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to identify network optimization and logistics improvement opportunities.
• and mitigate business exposure.

Real Estate & Facilities

• Support sourcing activities related to facility leases, warehouse facilities, distribution centers, office locations, facility services, utilities, maintenance contracts, and real estate projects.
• Lead commercial negotiations for leases, renewals, amendments, service agreements, and related supplier contracts.
• Evaluate facility-related spend and identify opportunities to reduce operating costs while maintaining service levels.

Supplier Relationship & Contract Management

• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, supplier development, performance reviews, and risk assessments.
• Negotiate commercial agreements including pricing, payment terms, service-level agreements (SLAs), liability provisions, warranties, termination rights, and other key contractual terms.
• Develop and maintain executive-level supplier relationships while driving accountability to performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial & Commercial Leadership

• Build robust business cases, total cost of ownership models, should-cost analyses, and sourcing recommendations.
• Deliver annual cost reduction, productivity, working capital, and cash flow improvement targets.
• Lead fact-based negotiations utilizing market intelligence, benchmarking, cost modeling, and supplier collaboration techniques.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, IT, Legal, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to align sourcing decisions with business objectives.
• Provide sourcing leadership for strategic initiatives, acquisitions, footprint optimization projects, and operational transformation activities.
• Influence stakeholders at all organizational levels and effectively communicate sourcing strategies and business impacts.
• This position will support the Director of Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

A suitable background would be a solid experience within procurement and sourcing – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

• Minimum 10 years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple indirect spend categories in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience sourcing transportation, logistics, warehousing, and indirect services.
• Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and supplier contract development.
• Strong experience developing sourcing strategies and delivering measurable cost reduction results.
• Experience performing supplier financial analysis, risk assessments, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, category management, and supplier relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across a broad portfolio of spend categories with limited supervision.

• Experience supporting private equity, public company, or multinational manufacturing organizations.
