Job summary

C. R. Bard in Zelienople, PA, seeks a Jr. Buyer for a 3+ month contract. The role plans materials to support the manufacturing schedule, ensuring timely procurement and inventory targets in accordance with SOPs and cGMP.

Responsibilities include supporting plant purchasing, processing POs, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining ERP/MRP data to meet production goals and cost targets.

Qualifications

• BS in business or related field preferred.
• Experience in ERP/MRP systems required.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Must understand quality in an ISO manufacturing environment.
• Experience with data/cost analytics a plus.
• 1+ years experience as a Buyer/Planner preferred.
• Experience developing cost standards, price negotiation, vendor selection, and maintenance of PO system a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports purchasing activities for the plant.
• Determines component requirements from the MRP generation run.
• Collects information and submits POs to suppliers.
• Communicates with vendors on price, delivery, invoicing, and expediting.
• Supports procurement for production schedule and inventory targets.
• Produces and maintains purchase orders and supplier communications.
• Participates in inventory reconciliation including cycle counts.
• Supports ERP/MRP systems used for production planning.
