Job summary

Aehr Test Systems in Fremont, CA is seeking a Junior Buyer to support procurement and supply chain activities for electronic and manufacturing operations. This temp-to-hire role involves purchasing materials, tracking production requirements, and maintaining data to improve cost and delivery performance.

Onsite training will be provided to integrate with manufacturing teams. The position offers exposure to PCBAs and electronic components, with room to grow in procurement and supply chain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of purchasing, supply chain, or internship experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase Order Management: Issue and manage purchase orders for materials, electronic components, and services to support production schedules.
• Order Tracking & Expediting: Monitor material readiness, track shipments, and actively work to resolve material shortages or delivery delays.
• Supplier Coordination: Support and maintain daily communication with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and distributors to ensure supply continuity.
• Data & ERP Maintenance: Maintain highly accurate purchasing data, lead times, and pricing records within ERP/MRP systems.
• Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to track material availability for production and new product introductions.
• Inventory Support: Assist with inventory management initiatives, including tracking excess and obsolete material reduction.
• Sourcing Assistance: Provide administrative support for supplier sourcing, initial qualification gathering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
