Frontmatec, Inc. in Kansas City, MO is seeking a procurement specialist to manage POs and supplier communications. The role emphasizes accurate MRP analysis, record-keeping, and cross-functional collaboration with Customer Service and warehouse teams.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of purchasing experience, a related bachelor’s degree, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. This on-site position offers opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency.
KeyResponsibilities:
Prepare and send POs by analyzing MRP based on lead-time and customer demand. Maintain and review records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
Confirm receipt of the purchase order to the Supplier. Manage confirmations to confirm that price and delivery dates are accurate.
Follow up on open orders as needed, resolve vendor issues and handle related correspondence. Act as a liaison between suppliers, Frontmatec Customer Service, and warehouse personnel.
Handle all quote requests from Customer Service for customer parts orders.
Expedite aftermarket parts/customer orders as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of best practices in Procurement.
Desire to solve problems, be self-directed, and be detail-oriented.
Expertise in MS Excel, ERP, MRP systems like Microsoft AX is a plus.
Works well with others in a team environment.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and motivate people with no direct authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organized and computer skills. (Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Preferably 3-5 years of related purchasing experience and Bachelor degree.
