Job summary

Macomb County Government is seeking a Junior Business Systems Analyst to join the Information Technology department in Mount Clemens, MI. This role analyzes business processes, designs solutions, and supports cyber security initiatives while aligning with SDLC, ITIL, and project management practices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or at least sixty (60) completed credit hours) preferably in Information Technology or a directly related field, from an accredited college or university; and at least three (3) years of experience in Information Technology
• High school diploma, or a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test; and at least five (5) years of experience in Information Technology along with active industry certifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a directly related field from an accredited college or university

Responsibilities

• Acts as a liaison between Information Technology and the customer to identify and analyze opportunities to optimize the customers’ business operations.
• Ensures the clients IT business solutions are in line with Information Technology strategic vision and guidelines.
• Proactively identifies and researches opportunities to integrate systems and simplify business operations with technology related solutions.
• Evaluates computing systems and procedures, conducts special studies to investigate new technologies and methodologies, providing recommendations as needed.
• Works with customers and IT technical staff to elicit business needs, identify business values, and create approved business system requirements.
