GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the IT Program Manager, this position works with users and Information Technology staff to analyze, specify, design, and implement information business solutions and system applications, with an emphasis on Cyber Security, for County departments. The position adheres to business analyst, system development and project management methodologies while analyzing the complete system, business operations, and related interfaces to support a joint application and business environment. The Junior Business Systems Analyst maintains a high degree of understanding of business and system analyst methodologies, as well as Cyber Security requirements.
Required Education and Experience A minimum of either: Associate’s degree (or at least sixty (60) completed credit hours) preferably in Information Technology or a directly related field, from an accredited college or university; and at least three (3) years of experience in Information Technology High school diploma, or a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test; and at least five (5) years of experience in Information Technology along with active industry certifications (examples listed under Preferred Licenses or Certifications below). Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a directly related field from an accredited college or university. Required Licenses or Certifications Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and operable, insured automobile for authorized travel. Preferred Licenses or Certifications CompTIA Security+ Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certifications issued by International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Some examples of certifications include: Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) Certified Analysis Certification
