First Bank in Iowa is seeking a Junior Business Banker to learn the fundamentals of banking, including customer service, credit, and business development. This growth track leads to advancement into a Business Banker after mastering the role.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to learn complex concepts with a 2-year degree in business/finance required and a 4-year degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in business or finance required.
• 4-year degree in business or finance preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide high quality customer service to each customer.
• Gather needed information from customers to complete loan applications.
• Originate and underwrite loans within policy and approve limits.
• Review loan documents to ensure first lien position.
• Complete on-site visits and collateral inspections.
• Negotiate rates and terms with customers within guidelines.
• Submit loans for approval and discuss exceptions with staff/Board as needed.
• Prepare cash flows and loan reviews, and perform annual reviews.
• Resolve delinquent loans and exceptions in portfolio.
• Register and maintain NMLS identifying number as required.
