Job summary

StraitSys Inc is seeking a Business Analyst to support the identification, analysis, and documentation of business needs and IT solutions. Under guidance from senior analysts, you will translate requirements into functional specs and deliverables, acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

You will gather requirements, conduct interviews and workshops, and help create business cases while supporting data analysis and dashboard development using Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
• Excellent ability to translate data findings for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with BI tools and data visualization.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and at least one scripting language.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, processes and workflows.
• Participate in stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement elicitation sessions.
• Translate business needs into clear, detailed functional requirements and user stories.
• Support the development of business cases and feasibility studies.
• Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing datasets to support business decision-making.
• Help maintain requirements traceability and ensure changes are documented and communicated.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure deliverables meet business expectations.
• Assist in the preparation of training materials and documentation for end-users.
• Contribute to project status updates and team meetings.
• Work alongside IT professionals to troubleshoot system issues and enhance user experience.
• Create and maintain dashboards or reports using business intelligence tools.
