Responsibilities

• Reports to the Chief Engineer or Property Manager and receives guidance and assignments.
• Provides operational guidance to maintenance and contractor personnel on site.
• Operates, maintains and repairs mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as authorized.
• Monitors energy-related projects, systems and devices in the building.
• Maintains manuals, technical data, and accurate maintenance records and inventories.
• Monitors parts inventories monthly and coordinates supply purchases with superiors.
• Performs preventive maintenance as directed by the Chief Engineer.
• Reads blueprints, line diagrams and schematics relevant to the trades.
• Performs minor painting, carpentry, locksmith and exterior site work as required.
• Maintains communication with building occupants to resolve operational problems.
