Job summary

Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Commercial Building Engineer to maintain and repair commercial office buildings in the Woodland Hills and Thousand Oaks, CA area. You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation, and life-safety systems, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of commercial building maintenance experience and hold an active EPA HVAC certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial building maintenance experience.
• Active EPA HVAC certification required.
• Onsite work in Woodland Hills/Thousand Oaks, CA.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on chillers, air handlers, pumps, VAV boxes, and multi-zone HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot building automation systems, including DDC, pneumatic controls, and BMS.
• Maintain electrical, plumbing, lighting, and fire/life safety systems.
• Complete general building repairs involving carpentry, painting, roofing, and plumbing.
• Maintain equipment records, preventive maintenance schedules, and service reports.
• Coordinate contractors and outside maintenance services.
• Support tenant improvements, renovations, and capital projects.
