Calhoun-Burns in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking an Entry Level Civil/Structural Engineer to support bridge and transportation projects. The role offers growth potential and collaboration with our structural team.

You will assist with structural design, planning and construction tasks, and pursue Iowa EIT licensure within 12 months. A Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 0-2 years or more experience in structural engineering.
• Iowa EIT license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and detailing for bridge, building and/or treatment plant structures.
• Work with teams participating in planning, design and construction of structural projects, with future opportunities to lead project teams.
• Ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Periodic on-site construction observation.
