Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Biologist for a Raleigh, NC-based role with a hybrid work model. The position involves ecological surveys, wetland delineations, and report writing as part of the Environmental Planning and Permitting Southeast Team. Travel to project sites is required and a valid U.S.

driver’s license is necessary. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or Biology, and can work in both field and office settings.

Qualifications

• Fieldwork required with transportation and possible overnight travel.
• Experience with environmental surveys and data collection.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead biologist in wetland, flora and fauna surveys.
• Process field data and develop ecological assessment reports.
• Coordinate with agencies on survey protocols and NEPA compliance.
• Identify potential environmental impacts from plans and data.
• Assist in permit applications and NEPA documentation.
