Job summary

AECOM in Boston is seeking an Entry-Level Ecologist to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting Northeast Team. You will perform environmental field assessments, wetland delineations, GIS mapping, and contribute to permit applications and technical reports.

The role includes field surveys, data collection with GPS and tablets, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver impactful environmental solutions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Fieldwork experience and willingness to travel overnight.
• Proficiency with GIS and data collection tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stream, wetland and wildlife habitat assessments.
• Develop ecological assessment reports and use GPS/tablets for data collection.
• Coordinate with agencies on survey protocols and reporting standards.
• Review desktop information for environmental impact assessments.
• Familiarize with field survey equipment and data reporting tools.
• Help prepare permit applications and technical information.
