Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry-Level Environmental Scientist for immediate employment in the Fort Bragg, NC office (onsite at the Directorate of Public Works). You will participate in graduate development programs and gain experience through on-the-job learning and mentoring.

This role offers exposure to GIS, environmental projects, and professional networking opportunities, with the aim to build a foundation for a successful career at AECOM. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, soil science, geology or related field.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.
• Ability to pass background check and obtain DoD CAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for technical problems using basic scientific principles and existing technologies.
• Collect and enter data, applying technical principles and theories.
• Interpret and record data; analyze and compare findings with studies and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Conduct site visits and field observations.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or senior team member.
• Perform field work in varying environmental conditions; lift up to 50 pounds.
