Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking a Junior Software Developer Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join a fast-moving team supporting a critical microservice ecosystem. You will build, test, and deploy scalable Java-based web applications that directly support CNO missions and interact with mission partners daily.

Work with the Technical Lead to influence architecture, implement RESTful services with Spring Boot, and participate in CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

3+ years of software engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
Or 7+ years of experience with substitution of 4 years of additional engineering experience in place of a Bachelor’s degree.
Strong Java design, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Build & Innovate: Develop and maintain high-performance Java microservice web applications within a modern, distributed ecosystem.
Collaborate on Design: Work with the Technical Lead to make architectural decisions, solve complex design problems, and shape the product roadmap.
Engage with the Mission: Interact directly with customers and operators daily to troubleshoot issues, gather feedback, and propose new features.
Ensure Quality: Support end-to-end testing, CI/CD, and deployment of production-ready applications.
