Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking a Junior Software Developer Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join a fast-moving team supporting a critical microservice ecosystem. You will build, test, and deploy scalable Java-based web applications that directly support CNO missions and interact with mission partners daily.

Work with the Technical Lead to influence architecture, implement RESTful services with Spring Boot, and participate in CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Or 7+ years of experience with substitution of 4 years of additional engineering experience in place of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong Java design, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

What you will do

What you need to have

• Experience:
  • 3 or more years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Or 7 or more years of experience (substituting 4 years of additional engineering experience in place of a Bachelor's degree).
• Core Java Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Java design, debugging, and complex problem-solving.
• Modern Frameworks: Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful web applications usingSpring Boot.
• Database Knowledge: Experience interacting withMongoDBor similar NoSQL/relational database technologies.
• Quality Assurance: Practical experience writing and executing automated tests to ensure code reliability.
